Angry

1. Forgiveness, Anger, and Trials

Allāhumma Rabba Muḥammad, ighfir lī dhanbī, wa adh-hib ghayẓa qalbī, wa aʿidhni min muḍillāti-l-fitani.
O Allah, Lord of Muhammad, forgive my sins, remove the anger of my heart, and protect me from misleading trials.

✨ Hadith Reference: Muhammad b. Abī Bakr (raḥimahullāh) narrates that when ʿĀʾisha (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhā) would become angry, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would stroke her nose and then say (to her): "O ʿUwaysh! Say: [the above]." (Ibn al-Sunnī 455)

2. Istiʿadhah #1

Aʿūdhu bi-llāhi mina-sh-Shayṭāni-r-rajīm.
I seek protection in Allah from the rejected Shayṭān.

✨ Quranic Reference: Allah says: "When you recite the Quran, seek refuge with Allah from the rejected Shayṭān." (16:98)

3. Duʿa for Seeking Protection from Shayṭān

Rabbi aʿūdhu bika min hamazāti-sh-shayāṭīn, wa aʿūdhu bika Rabbi ay-yaḥḍurūn.
My Lord, I seek protection with You from the promptings of the devils; and I seek protection in You, my Lord, from their coming near me.

✨ Quranic Reference: “And say, 'My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the promptings of the devils. And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me.'” (23:97-98)

4. The Ultimate Duʿa

Allahumma bi-‘ilmikal-ghayb, wa qudratika ‘ala-l-khalq, ahyini ma ‘alimta-l-hayata khayra li, wa tawaffani idha ‘alimta-l-wafata khayra li. Allahumma wa as’aluka khashyataka fi-l-ghayb wa-sh-shahadah, wa as’aluka kalimata-l-haqq fi-r-rida wa-l-ghadab, wa as’aluka al-qasda fi-l-faqri wa-l-ghina, wa as’aluka na‘iman la yanfad, wa as’aluka qurrata ‘aynin la tanqata‘, wa as’aluka ar-rida ba‘da-l-qada’, wa as’aluka barda-l-‘ayshi ba‘da-l-mawt, wa as’aluka ladhdhata an-nazari ila wajhika, wa-sh-shawqa ila liqa’ika, fi ghayri darra’a mudirrah, wa la fitnatin mudillah. Allahumma zayyinna bi-zinati-l-iman, wa-j‘alna hudatan muhtadin.

O Allah, with Your knowledge of the unseen and Your absolute power over the creation, let me live as long as life is good for me; and give me death when You know death is better for me. O Allah, I ask You for Your fear in private and in public, and for the word of truth in times of joy and anger. I ask You for moderation in poverty and wealth. I ask You for endless blessings and perpetual delights. I ask You to make me pleased with destiny; for a cool and comfortable life after death; for the pleasure of seeing Your Face; and for the longing to meet You, without any painful ordeals and tribulations that misguide. O Allah, adorn us with the beauty of faith, and make us those who guide others and are guided themselves.

✨ Hadith Reference: ʿAṭā b. As-Sāʾib narrated: "ʿAmmār b. Yāsir (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhū) led us in prayer and made it brief. Some said: 'You made the prayer brief.' He replied: 'I recited the supplications I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'” (Ibn Mājah 3843)
